Vocational schools in Achern enter into educational partnership with the Zimmer Group

For many years, there has been a very close connection between the vocational schools in Achern and the two large training companies Fischer Group and Zimmer Group. Particularly in the field of industrial mechanics, the two globally active companies send many trainees to the school; in the one-year vocational school for metal technology, they together make up almost a class of their own.

In addition, the renowned companies offer many internships in different areas, which are very gladly accepted by full-time students.

Furthermore, training materials are always provided to keep the school or the teachers up to date with the latest technology. The close exchange with the trainers of both companies has long been a good tradition at this school. As part of the intensive cooperation, support opportunities for students are regularly coordinated or collaboration on projects takes place. For example, parts developed and drawn in the school as part of learning field projects have already been manufactured in the training workshops of the two companies.

This very profitable connection to the two training partners has now been formalized in a cooperation agreement.

Julia Fessler (Zimmer group), who will soon succeed the long-serving training manager Uli Scheer, and training manager Thorsten Schmiederer (Fischer group) signed on behalf of the training companies, while principal Ralf Schneider and head of the technology department Ralf Prost signed on behalf of the school.

All those involved are looking forward to continued good cooperation. Source: BS Achern
