Zimmer GmbH Daempfungssysteme - Silento Forte 2.0 expands extensive furniture damper range

As one of the technology leaders in the furniture damper segment, Zimmer GmbH Daempfungssysteme, a subsidiary of the Zimmer Group, is expanding its wide damper range in the sliding door sector. Silento Forte 2.0 is the name of the extensive re-design of the proven Silento Forte (on the market since 2006) - a self-closing system based on air friction damping technology.

The new self-closing unit, which can be easily integrated into existing customer fittings, has different types of locking levers to respond to any space requirement of the customer with regard to final assembly - whether the self-closing unit is to be mounted vertically or horizontally or if the unit is to be integrated into a door guide rail.

The Silento Forte 2.0 damper unit, which has also been given a new colour design - damper and self-closing housing are now designed in a discreet colour scheme - was specially developed for sliding doors weighing 15-120 kg. The modular furniture damper gently and noticeably brakes the sliding doors, quietly pulls them into their final position by means of a self-closing mechanism and secures them thanks to the tumbler. The new softclose system is also available as a duo version, i.e. instead of two retractions as before, only one self-closing unit is now required to guarantee damping in both directions (in closing and opening direction).

The new Silento 2.0 is very easy to install, as it only needs to be screwed onto the sliding door and can be easily mounted on the right or left-hand side. The maintenance-free soft-closing element is available immediately for all conceivable customer systems and installation requirements and can replace existing self-closing units from other manufacturers 1:1 thanks to its modular design.
