IO-Link gripper for radial shaft seals

KACO GmbH + Co KG, in collaboration with the Zimmer Group, has improved its production of radial shaft seals by implementing intelligent grippers. The Zimmer Group's GEH6040IL-03-B electric gripper, equipped with IO-Link technology, enables precise force adjustment and individual control of position and speed. Up to 32 different recipes can be stored in the gripper, which speeds up the production process. Thanks to the use of these intelligent grippers, production costs at KACO have been reduced by half.
