WPR5000 series expanded with new size
More flexibility with compact tool changers for demanding automation processes
Zimmer Group is expanding its proven WPR5000 tool changer series with the additional size WPR5031. With a pitch circle of 31.5 according to EN ISO 9409-1, this particularly compact variant is available with immediate effect. In doing so, the company is specifically responding to the increasing demand for smaller, high-performance solutions for flexible automation environments.
Downtimes and long tool change times cost you valuable resources. In many automated processes, manual or imprecise tool changes lead to downtimes and inefficient processes—especially when flexibility and speed are crucial. The tool changers of the WPR5000 series provide a remedy here, as they enable automated change processes with high repeat accuracy and short cycle times.
With the new size WPR5031, the portfolio is supplemented by a compact solution without compromising performance and safety. In total, the series now comprises eight sizes with pitch circles from 31.5 to 160 and covers a wide range of applications - from small handling tasks to applications with payloads of over 500 kg.
A key feature of the WPR5000 series is the innovative bolt locking system. The line contact allows the absorption of very high forces and moments while ensuring maximum stability. This is complemented by a spring-preloaded, self-locking mechanism and optionally integrated sensors that meet the highest safety requirements - ideal for machines and systems where Performance Level d / control category 3 is required.
In addition, the series offers the highest level of variety in energy transmission. Different energy elements enable the integration of pneumatics, fluidics, electrical signals, load current, and communication interfaces into a single system. The standard IP54 corrosion protection and maintenance-free operation of up to five million cycles emphasize the high reliability in industrial use.
With the extension of the WPR5000 series, Zimmer Group is strengthening its position as a supplier of high-performance components for robotics and automation. Users benefit from increased flexibility, reduced downtimes, and sustainably optimized production processes.
