This way, you'll know exactly what repair costs to expect. Defective components are professionally repaired or replaced – and, of course, all repaired or replaced components come with a warranty. If a repair is no longer cost-effective, we will be happy to send you a fair quote for a suitable new device.

Return Consignments
How can I issue a return consignment?
The easiest way is to contact our service staff by email or phone. Our staff will be happy to assist you by assigning you a "CALL" ticket number along with the corresponding return slip. To ensure faster processing, please note that when returning an item you must include the reason for the return and, if applicable, a detailed description of the fault. In addition, it is essential that you inform us any potential contamination of the product before it is returned. One option for labeling hazardous materials is provided on the return slip.
What advantages do I have when return consignments are handled directly with the Zimmer Group?
Our staff are specially trained in repairing Zimmer Group products and have years of experience in this field. Fault-free functionality can only be achieved when the necessary special tools and assembly procedures are used. You will receive a 12-month warranty on the replaced parts. If repairing a product is not cost-effective, we will include a quote for a new part with our service offer.
Duration of the Process
How long does the repair take?
- Standard products: Approx. 7–10 business days for the entire process. As long as all spare parts are in stock.
- Standard electronic products: Approx. 10–15 business days for complete processing (mechanical and electronics)
- Custom-made products: Depending on the effort and agreement

Is there an option for an express repair?

Costs
Costs of Diagnosis and Assessment
We charge a flat processing fee for processing and detailed review. The amount of this flat fee depends on the technology sector. You can find the exact costs on the return slip or contact our service team for more information. In return, you will receive a detailed service report with a description of the fault in the failed component.
Repair costs
Repair costs are calculated based on the amount of work required as soon as the products have been inspected at our facility. Unfortunately, we can only provide a cost estimate in advance under certain circumstances (e.g., for modifications of new parts)
What options do I have when a cost estimate was prepared?
You can have the product repaired under the terms and conditions provided. If a repair is no longer economically feasible, you can order a new part using the quote for a new part that was included. Alternatively, you can have the product properly disposed of at our facility at no cost or have it returned to you disassembled.
Are missing product parts listed in the cost estimate?
Parts that are important for functionality and safety are installed and listed.

Packaging & Shipping Is it possible to specify a different delivery address?
Yes, you can specify an alternative delivery address when placing a repair order – either in your order form or by emailing your service team.
How should I package the defective products?
Every product must be packaged securely and break-proof in boxes or crates. For clamping elements, the transport locks must be installed in accordance with the installation and operating instructions.
Why does my product come back disassembled and not assembled?
In order to provide an accurate estimate, we need to disassemble the product. Only then can the errors and the associated costs be defined. Once you receive the cost estimate, you have decided not to have the repair carried out and have instructed us to return the defective tool to you. If you would still like to have the product returned to you fully assembled, we would be happy to do so for a fee, provided that the unrepaired product does not pose a hazard.

How long am I entitled to a warranty?
When you purchase a new item, you are entitled to a 12-month warranty. Please include the relevant delivery slip when returning the goods. When you have a repair done, all replaced parts are covered by a 12-month warranty.
