Gripper for boxes


In one of the largest logistics centers of a discount food retailer, the conveying system needed to stack different varieties of chocolate boxes on pallets at maximum speed. Between the individual layers, an intermediate layer also needed to be gripped.


A servo gripper for flexible gripping was developed as the solution. An active hold-down device ensures that the boxes are held securely in the gripper due to the high level of dynamics. The intermediate layer suction device is actively retracted so that it does not form an interference contour during palletizing operation.
