Expansion of the gripper portolio

New sizes close the gap in the GPP5000AL and GPD5000AL series

Zimmer Group, global manufacturer of future-oriented automation technology, is expanding its portfolio within the proven GPP5000AL and GPD5000AL gripper series in two ways. The new GPP5025AL size for 2-jaw parallel grippers and the new GPD5016AL 3-jaw centric gripper specifically fill existing gaps in the size range, offering users additional flexibility in designing pneumatic gripper solutions.

The series stands for compact, economical grippers with high-quality aluminum linear guides. Compared to conventional T-slot grippers, this precise guide variant delivers significantly better performance and is technically on par with many other commercially available guiding principles. They enable stable, maintenance-free motion sequences and are therefore perfect for a wide range of industrial handling and automation tasks.

New Long Stroke variants are also available: customers who opt for the L variants with an extended stroke in the GPP5000AL series benefit from a special advantage as these long-stroke versions enable a stroke that is up to 60% longer for the same size. This opens up new application possibilities, especially for large gripping distances or varying workpiece dimensions. Using a smaller size also reduces weight and installation space, thus reducing investment costs – a clear advantage for efficient and dynamic automation concepts.

Further product highlights:

  • Aluminum profile groove guide – precise, low-wear, and economical, with significantly improved performance compared to standard T-slot guides.
  • L variants with extended stroke – up to 60% more stroke with the same size for maximum flexibility and optimized system concepts
  • Wide range of variants and accessories – optimally tailored to different stroke, force, and design situations
  • Maintenance-free design – low-wear aluminum-steel profile groove guide reduces follow-up costs and downtime.
  • Cleanroom-compatible – certified according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1 for cleanroom class 4, ideal for clean production environments.

With the new GPP5025AL size, Zimmer Group is expanding its range to meet medium stroke and force requirements. Offering balanced force-to-weight performance, it fits seamlessly into the existing modular system. The new GPD5016AL three-jaw centric gripper is designed for applications requiring centric, form-fitting workpiece gripping, and it consistently applies the proven design principles of the 5000AL family to this gripping concept.

This development highlights Zimmer Group's dedication to providing innovative, sustainable, and modular components for automation technology that are cost-effective, high-performing, and user-friendly.
