Lively mood in a family atmosphere
Review of the Summer Party 2023
On Saturday 22 July 2023, the Zimmer Group held its annual summer party and it was a great success! All employees with their partners and families as well as retired employees were cordially invited and around 1,300 visitors came together to celebrate.
The party was opened by the "Next Generation" of the management, Jakob and Rafaela Zimmer. In their joint address, Jakob Zimmer emphasized the great strength of the family business, which is also reflected in the different perspectives of the Next Generation: "Each of us works in a different area and therefore brings a slightly different perspective. Nevertheless, we are united and pull together. Our common goal is to maintain and shape the Zimmer Group as an international, yet authentic family business with roots in Rheinau."
The organization team had once again put together a great supporting program for the whole family. The children could enjoy numerous attractions from Spass-Event from Lichtenau and Spielmobil e.V. Freiburg, such as a bouncy castle and face painting. The band "Me and the Heat" provided for good mood and many danced exuberantly until late in the evening. Also the physical well-being was well taken care of: grilled food, ox on the spit, tarte flambée and pizza as well as coffee specialties. The catering is always supported by associations, such as this year by the Women's and Nursing Association Helmlingen and the Wildsaue Association from the Schollebunker.
During the summer party, the former senior boss Herbert Zimmer was also remembered: "Our grandpa Herbert would have turned 100 years old exactly today," said Rafaela Zimmer. "Herbert had supported Martin and Günther in their undertakings at all times and had also been actively involved himself for many years, right up to the ripe old age of 85. His inventive spirit, his attitude to life and his way of dealing with each other are still influential today not only for us as a family, but also for the culture of the Zimmer Group. I'm sure he would be very proud to see how Zimmer Group has developed, the path we are on and what we have set out to do together!"
Zimmer Group places great value on family togetherness and the summer party is a great opportunity to come together and celebrate together. As part of the celebration, Rafaela Zimmer emphasized the values that Zimmer Group stands behind as a family-owned company, "One value that has provided security in recent years and will do so again this year is consistency. By consistency, we mean stability and continuity, but also resilience or resistance." In times of uncertainty and change, he said, it is precisely the reflection on one's own values that makes it possible to successfully master past and future crises.
The summer party is also an expression of these values. It is a long-standing tradition that grows from year to year and is carried on by the management. The Zimmer Group is already looking forward to the next summer party!
