Zimmer Group expands global network

With a festive ceremony, Zimmer Group has announced opening of its new production facility in Kikvi, India, which will serve both the Indian and Asian markets. It is an important milestone in Zimmer Group's strategy to become international and close to customers. The ceremony underlined Zimmer Group's growing confidence in the Indian market and its potential.

Martin Zimmer, founder and president, Achim Gauß, Managing Director of Zimmer Group, Sunil Raibagi, Managing Director of Zimmer Group Asia along with Suchitra Raibagi, Managing Director of Zimmer Group India and esteemed guest Rajesh Nath from VDMA India were on dias. After traditional rituals like Ganesh Puja and lighting of lamps, Suchitra Raibagi welcomed numerous guests from business and industry to the opening ceremony. Sunil Raibagi addressed the gathering about the history, purpose, and future plan of Zimmer Group India.

The new manufacturing facility in Kikvi not only demonstrates the company's global expansion, but also symbolizes its strong roots in India. Since entering the market in Pune in 2017, the Indian subsidiary has become a fundamental part of the global network, explained Achim Gauss in his opening speech. "Our expansion plans are ambitious and strategic."

The new plant will play a key role in the production and development of highly specialized automation solutions, using the latest manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 standards to increase efficiency and ensure sustainable production.
