Zimmer-Group is one of the worldwide leading manufacturers and distributors of automation components and system solutions for Handling technology, Damping technology, Linear technology, Process technology, Machine Tooling technology and System technology. We are looking for an office executive to join our UK sales team. Based at our facility in Warwick the role will be to provide support to the sales team by taking on the day to day tasks and challenges. 

Office executive

Duties included but are not limited to:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Research accounts, identify new customers and generate interest.
  • Occasional UK Marketing activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day support activities working from the Zimmer UK office in Warwick.
  • First line customer service answering incoming phone calls and taking customer enquiries.
  • Providing quotations to customers and processing of orders with support staff at Zimmer Germany.
  • Assisting UK field sales engineers with quotations and support activities.
  • Keeping CRM and the internal quoting system up to date
  • Calling customers to follow up quotations.
  • Take control of aged receivables and manage the process working with customer accounts departments.
  • Prepare and book deliveries to and from Zimmer HQ in Germany.
  • Experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Organising and completing of supplier documents.
  • Scheduling appointments for sales engineers.
  • Answering questions about products or services.
  • Assisting with organising exhibitions and setting up on site.
  • Managing product returns with Zimmer Germany service department and quoting customers.
  • Maintain and expand our database of customers and prospects
  • Coordinating order progress between customers and technical sales engineers


  • Experience in sales for industrial products, focus on assembly and automation is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialling dozens of calls per day
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills to support distributors
  • Self-motivated, highly organized individual
  • Experience using Word, Excel, ERP and CRM software
  • A flexible team player is essential as we are a small business it is important the candidate embraces new challenges and tasks.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working alone at the office along with opening and closing when required.
