Major donation for youth project in Rheinau
Zimmer Group supports the Rheinau Community Foundation
Zimmer Group continues its long-standing commitment to the Rheinau Community Foundation and is now supporting a new youth project with a donation of €20,000 earmarked for a specific purpose. The funds will be used to set up an additional leisure facility on the grounds of the Anne Frank Grammar School (AFG). Siegfried Koch, Chairman of the Community Foundation, explains: “The fact that this is happening directly on the freely accessible grounds of the AFG creates a win-win situation, since not only the youth of Rheinau in general, but also the AFG's break time activities will benefit from the project.” The project is actively supported by the city.
Social engagement, particularly for children and youth projects, is important to the Zimmer Group, and with this donation, it is continuing a cherished tradition. For many years, the family-owned company from the Ortenau district has been a partner of the Rheinau Community Foundation, working to support sustainable and social projects in the region. Thanks to this close cooperation, numerous initiatives have already been implemented that promote the common good and improve the quality of life locally. Whether environmental projects such as “Trees for Rheinau”, the design of schoolyards or support for refugees - the partnership between the Zimmer Group and the community foundation shows what effective regional engagement can look like. With the current donation, the company is also sending a clear signal of its solidarity with Rheinau and its people.
Social responsibility as a corporate philosophy
In addition to supporting the Bürgerstiftung Rheinau, the Zimmer Group is also involved with other charitable organizations. Donations have been made to the Diakonie Kork, the UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe (UN Refugee Agency) and the Kindernothilfe (Children's Emergency Aid), with a focus on Ukraine, Sudan, Syria and Gaza. As an international company, the Group is aware of its social responsibility and provides targeted support for projects that make a positive contribution to society.
