Festive gathering with long-standing employees
Zimmer Group officially bid farewell to six long-standing employees at a ceremony held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in the presence of the management and their respective supervisors.
The following employees were honored:
Michael Geiger, PLC programmer in the SYS Software department at Zimmer Systems GmbH, who is retiring on December 1, 2024 (length of service: 4 years and 11 months).
Pascal Schwartz, skilled worker in gripping system assembly at Zimmer Systems GmbH, retiring on January 1, 2025 (length of service: 13 years and 9 months).
Sabine Abel, kitchen assistant in the Zimmer GmbH company restaurant, is leaving on January 1, 2025 (length of service: 14 years and 3 months).
Wolfgang Ell, Head of Equipment Manufacturing at Zimmer GmbH, is leaving the company on May 1, 2025 (length of service: 22 years and 3 months).
Christian Hartmann, Warehouse Clerk in the SAL warehouse at Zimmer GmbH, is leaving the company on May 1, 2025 (length of service: 26 years and 11 months).
Margot Müller (unfortunately not present), fitter in the HHT assembly department at Zimmer GmbH, is leaving the company on May 1, 2025 (length of service: an impressive 39 years and 3 months).
The event not only honored the outstanding professional achievements of the departing employees, but also their decades of commitment, loyalty, and personal contribution to the development of Zimmer Group.
In his personal address, company founder Martin Zimmer emphasized the importance of each individual for the shared success:
"Every company thrives on the knowledge, skills, and commitment of its employees. [...] Now it is time not only to thank you once again for what you have done for us, but also to express our heartfelt personal wishes for your future."
The other members of the management team – Günther Zimmer, Jonas Zimmer, and Thomas Seeger – also attended the farewell ceremony, along with Silvana Retsch (Head of Strategic HR), Manuela Herberger (Deputy Works Council Member) and their respective supervisors Dieter Langenecker, Thorsten Kimmig, and Marc Fritz.
Zimmer Group would like to thank the retirees for their many years of service and wishes them health, happiness, and many fulfilling moments in this new chapter of their lives.
