SMART COMMUNICATION MODULE FOR FANUC ROBOTS
Thanks to the coordinated communication modules from the Zimmer Group, the control and integration of intelligent, mechatronic grippers with both FANUC cobots and industrial robots is particularly easy.
The Smart Communication Module (SCM) from the Zimmer Group translates the IO-Link interface into digital inputs and outputs (digital I/O) and vice versa. This ensures efficient data exchange with the robot controller. All IO-Link grippers from the Zimmer Group can be used between the specific FANUC robot flange and the ISO part circle via a suitable adapter plate.
As a gateway for the end effector, the integrated SCM communication module communicates directly with the robot controller. This enables simple and safe control of the end effector.
The SCM, in conjunction with the Comfort App and the Zimmer Group HMI software, ensures simple and reliable control. The guideZ software wizard integrated into the HMI enables users to create and manage workpiece recipes in just a few steps, without any prior knowledge. The expertZ software module also allows detailed fine adjustments to be made.
